In noisy surroundings or work areas not occupied permanently it is often necessary to install additional acoustic or optical signalling devices to draw attention to incoming calls. The TRR offers the possibility of connecting these additional signals, which are operated with an external power supply (e.g. the mains power supply), directly from the telephone system. The TRR telephone call relay is protected by a plastic housing and designed for surface mounting. The switching capacity of up to 3 A at 230 V enables connection of optical and acoustic signalling devices as accessory to a telephone. The TRR is also equipped with a circuit breaker, which enables the accessory to be deactivated.

The bells are intended for use as additional acoustic and optical signalling devices in private branch exchanges in offices, hospitals, department stores and other areas in which no particular demands are made on IP protection. The TIWS version allows a telephone with a TAE plug to be connected. The TIW and TIWS telephone indoor bells consist of a plastic housing and are available as surface and flush-mounting versions. These auxiliary bells enable additional acoustic and optical announcement of incoming telephone calls.
