The PHT hand telephone is a bilingual mobile test telephone that can be used for both PD and DTMF dialling modes. Its integrated 10-number memory facilitates troubleshooting work. Digital and ISDN lines are detected with the PHT 2, which has an LED for signalling purposes. In passive digital lines a system clock pulse (ISDN wake signal) is emitted to activate the exchange. After activation the clock pulse of the return signal emitted by the exchange is evaluated in the PHT 2. A bi-colour LED helps to determine the polarity direction.
